Dana SaarDana Saar is a Governing Board Member and immediate Past President of Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD), Arizona, also known as Maricopa Community Colleges, is the largest community college district in the United States, serving more than 260,000 students. Dana Saar was elected to Governing Board of MCCCD in 2010 and served as Board Secretary from 2012 – 2013.

The district serves Maricopa County, the county that includes and surrounds Phoenix, Arizona and is the most populous of the state’s counties. Maricopa County Community College District has following 10 colleges, 2 skill centers and numerous education centers, all dedicated to educational excellence and to meeting the needs of businesses and the citizens of Maricopa County. Each college is individually accredited, yet part of a larger system – the Maricopa County Community College District, which is one of the largest providers of higher education in the United States.

Dana Saar has 40 years of work experience including positions such as Editor of Open Systems Publishing, Teacher/Administrator of East Valley Institute of Technology, Real Estate Investment Manager and Governance Consultant of Retreat Facilitation.

Dana Saar is the resident of Fountain Hills, Arizona. He has Bachelors of Business Administration from University of Wisconsin, M. Ed in Career & Technical Education from Northern Arizona University.
